- Once the Thousand Masks Saga is done, I plan on giving it its own Blogger or Wordpress blog and linking it here under the Fiction category. That way, you can read it with the backlog of characters, findings, etc. and it has its own home. I intend to do all blogs of long campaigns like MoN like this in the future - first here, then collected on its own blog. Minor scenarios will be linked here to their own blogs in general, to avoid clutter and confusion.
- Until the foreseeable future, Keeper Tales is cancelled. I dunno what I was thinking taking that project on, but it's too much for me to handle right now anyway.
- I will be bringing back more reviews of campaigns and supplements, including a MASSIVE review of MoN if I have the time. Everyone seemed to like those, and they will of course be posted on Facebook through the CoC Gamers and DMs group as per usual (for people reading this that came through there.)
- In general this blog will become less of an opinion blog, and more of a writing, science, and CoC/tabletop blog. I will be posting updates as life goes, as long as it pertains to CoC/tabletop gaming, writing, or science. I have Facebook for my opinions and venting. If you want that, go there; old opinion articles however will remain up. Wordflow itself will remain a site for my fictional works, which will always be free for anyone to read. "Before the Tattered King" will be made to link instead to the Atlantean Publishing website with order info. Go buy their book A Terrible Thing! It's an awesome read and it's Carcosa approved!
- The Strange Case of the Horror's Heart (Steampunk Campbell Mythos Campaign): The year is 1884, in the thick of the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian Era as we know it. A group of genteels and their unlikely skills have become somewhat of a sensation - a sort of Steampunk Ghostbusters known for their inquiries into the strange and eldritch. And they'll have their work cut out for them this time, because a bizarre statue has been discovered in the Himalayas, and has been brought to the London Museum for exhibition. The man who uncovered it has been having strange dreams and unsettling urges, and his daughter has been having blackouts. A horror lurks, craving release... and much like the reverent elephant, it never forgets a sleight. Can our intrepid heroes uncover the truth and stop it, or will this awful creature stalk London's hills once more?
- Abbreviated SCHH or Strange Case for short, this is a Cthulhu Gaslight campaign that uses a monster I have never, ever used before - Chaugnar Faugn! Encompassing four scenarios - The Masterwork of Nicholas Forby, The Horse of the Invisible, The Curse of Chaugnar Faugn, and Horror's Heart - as well as numerous minor tidbits, this is sure to be the most bizarre and unique scenario I have run yet, and surely will surprise everyone involved. It will likely have its own blog; In-Game blogs will be under the tag "CoC: Strange Case Files" and all reviews for it will be under the new review tag "CoC: The Horror's Art".
- In Restless Dreams (Dreamlands Campaign): What if you had the power to travel to another world while you slept? A world reachable as easily as descending the stairs and passing through a doorway? A world limitless, fantastic, magnificent and wondrous... and very dangerous? Now, I'll let you in on a little secret - it's called the Dreamlands, it's very real... and it is all new to our Dreamers, people all seeking to escape into fantasy from their dull and dreadful waking world lives. These five will adventure, quest, explore, find trouble, and wonder as they discover the majesty of this place, but all the while, someone is watching their travels. Someone powerful, who has taken quite an interest in these Dreamers. Someone very, very dangerous... and he wants to play a little game.
- Abbreviated IRD, this scenario is my first use of the Dreamlands and will be more whimsical and fantastic than the rest. It encompasses several smaller scenarios from the Dreamlands 2nd Edition material, plus one stand-alone campaign entitled The Dreaming Stone. I hope you will join me for this one - it's going to be a dream come true! Blog entries for it will be under the tag "CoC: Dream Journals", and all updates or reviews for it will be listed under the new review tag "CoC: The Horror's Art".
- Out of the Black (Homebrew Modern Day Campaign): It's 2017, and Arkham, MA is in the grip of a possible epidemic. A strange and frightening disease is affecting people, and it's body horror of the worst possible caliber. Our heroes are CDC professionals, called in to investigate the causative agent of the terrible disease... but they get more than they bargained for when they are thrust into the world of the Cthulhu Mythos, traveling around the world and even beyond our world in a race against time. An eldritch disease does have to have an eldritch cure, right? And finding that cure won't be easy...
- This homebrew Azathoth campaign, abbreviated as OotB, blends the modern day, the Dreamlands, and globe-trotting adventure into the furthest reaches of the world in order to stop a world-ending horror. Strange bedfellows will abound as well! Will they succeed... or fail? This scenario will likely not be blogged on unless there is significant interest from people, but if it is, it will be under the tag "CoC: Seeds of Azathoth".
- Ripples from Carcosa (Many-Period, Psychological Horror Campaign): History repeats itself in the strangest ways sometimes, and reincarnation holds the key as to why. Hastur the Unspeakable One knows this, and is incredibly patient. Patient for the time when Carcosa will align with earth, and he can cross over into our dimension to wreak horrible havoc. It will start small, and grow into a festering blossom of terror, again... and again... and again. Enter our heroes, reincarnated souls doomed to fight this unholy abomination with every new incarnation they take. From Ancient Rome to the shadows of WWII to the modern day and beyond, they will fight the Yellow King... or die and go mad trying. Live. Die. Reincarnate. Repeat.
- This campaign, abbreviation RfC, is very much something I've never done before, involving many settings I haven't yet tried out. It includes the entire three-scenario set of stories from Ripples From Carcosa, as well as Digging For a Dead God from Curse of the Yellow Sign and The Evil Star from Cthulhu Now. Come walk through time along the shores of the Dread Lake with me, and sing the Songs of the Hyades... the King awaits you. This scenario will likely not be blogged about in character owing to its layout, but if it is, it will be under the tag "CoC: Whispers from Carcosa". Reviews for all scenarios and discussions on it will be under the new review tag "CoC: The Horror's Art" - and yes, I'll be reviewing CotYS: Calling the King as well, finally. I promise I will... you can take the Queen out of Carcosa, but you can't take the Carcosa out of the Queen!
