Sure is, Generic Investigator With A Limited Lifespan! Here's another review of another CoC supplement - this time "Tell Me, Have You Seen the Yellow Sign?", the last of the three supplements from "The Great Old Ones" I used for my ongoing campaign "Rise of the Old Ones".
"Hot dog, Keeper Sugary, is it that time again already?"

Review time again! My current campaign is still ongoing and has made for a hell of a story - we even had our first true Indefinite Insanity proc! In a pulpy game! Thrills, chills, spills, intrigue, and one very paranoid reporter later, and my players were ready for the next segment of the adventure after this... This particular review takes a look at the short scenario "Still Waters" from The Great Old Ones. This scenario is short, and so is the write-up for it... Let's dive right in, shall we?
Oh boy, time for another campaign module review in my ongoing CoC piecemeal campaign, Rise of the Old Ones! Today's selection, and long overdue at that, is "The Spawn" from The Great Old Ones.
Ongoing Campaign Module Review #2 time! Today's selection is from CoC 5e's core rulebook again, this one entitled "The Madman". Again, I am not sure if it was reprinted, but I am assuming so since almost all the others in 5e were reprinted for 6e.
Alright, let's start this review train rolling! I will do this for each pre-published scenario in my current campaign ("Rise of the Old Ones", hereafter called RotOO), mostly to give new Keepers an idea of what's out there to run. Spoilers will abound, tread VERY lightly. Players whose Keepers are planning to run ANY of the scenarios I mention should NOT read my critique, and should stop here. Come back after you've played it - don't ruin it for yourself. Who wants to be omnipotent anyway?
Today's guest is "Dead Man Stomp" (hereafter called DMS), a starter scenario culled from the pages of the quite respectable 5th editions of the Call of Cthulhu rules. I ran this with 7th edition rules, however, just requires a slight bit of editing to make it work with that set. |
